Earlier this year, our team had the opportunity to build a 1/8" (1:100) scale model of Bowling Green State University's Doyt L. Perry Stadium which was used as the context model for the 2nd year architecture design studio Jake Miley taught at the university's College of Architecture & Environmental Design.
Students were challenged to design a stage set for an artist of their choosing that would embody the artist's persona. We worked with a local finish carpenter to CNC mill the layers of 3/4" baltic birch plywood from our 3D model. We then pressed and glued the layers and finished the model in our shop.
